The University of North Carolina-Charlotte offers a B.A. in studio art with a concentration in photography. Photography classes are also available at Queen's College of Charlotte and via the graphic design program at King's College.
In the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area, employment in art, design, entertainment, sports and media (which includes photography) is growing at an annual rate of 2.86%. However, due to the desirability of the work, competition for photography jobs is expected to remain intense.
